Why are you offended?
Are you offended easily? Do you take a slight to your heart? Are you a person who wears their emotion on their sleeve? If the answer to these questions is yes, then this is a post for you.
The world won’t change for you. You need to change for the world. If you expect others to change, then people will trigger you. If you try to force your point of view, you will alienate yourself. If you continue to exist amongst conflicting viewpoints, you will exhaust yourself.
It is commendable that you have decided a set of truths for yourself. Congratulations that you have developed an ethical and moral compass to guide you through life. These are no easy feats. The happiness, struggles, failures, ecstasy, and euphoria of it all lead to who you are. In all honesty, you feel you have found the right path. There is a voice inside proclaiming, “the world ought to know.” We live in a flat world, and you are bound to find your tribe. Heck, you could very well lead than follow. Gosh, the possibilities are endless. Excited for you to achieve heights of fame or infamy whichever way you swing.
However, here is the rub clarity that you have achieved is subjective. There are certain things that society will shun, and you need to step up to the plate at certain times. If you find that you are breathing heavy, fuming through the day, then there is a need for change. How useful is the clarity if you don’t have peace?
